The Quran is not merely a text of laws or history. It is a masterpiece of divine eloquence, rhythm, and deep emotional resonance — the Word of Allah. Yet a strict word-for-word English translation often loses the striking majesty that moves the heart when the Quran is heard in its original tongue. This translation was created to bridge that gap.
Two Ways to Read Every Verse
This edition uses a unique, two-tiered approach designed to feed both your heart and your intellect:
- The Poetic Rendering — an iconic, poetic translation that captures the true spirit, tone, and deep emotional intent of the verses. Written to be read aloud, to be felt, and to echo the powerful rhythm of the original divine revelation.
- The Line-by-Line Gloss — directly beneath each poetic verse, a clear, literal translation that serves as a structural anchor, showing you exactly what the Arabic text says on a foundational level.
A Note on the Typography
In the literal gloss, certain words and phrases appear in bold text. These bolded words represent meanings, context, or explanations implied by the depth of the Arabic language rather than explicitly written in the verse. Because Arabic is incredibly concise, these bolded elements help English readers grasp the full, unwritten context of the message.
Whether you are reading for spiritual reflection, academic study, or linguistic appreciation, this format is designed to bring you closer to the profound beauty of The Holy Quran.
